The appellation Vosne Romanée Premier Cru “les Suchots” is located on the slope of the hillside, under “Les Beaux-Monts” and “Aux Brûlées”. The word “Suchots” comes from the French meaning for “strain” and links with a deforestation operation which happened hundreds of years ago. The climate is located between “Les Echezeaux” and “Les Romanée Saint Vivant”, both Grands Crus.

We can consider the Vosne Romanée Premier Cru “Les Suchots” as a wine of very high quality not far from the terrestrial “Faille des Grands Crus” offering a soil of a very beautiful complexity.

The Vosne Romanée Premier Cru “Les Suchots” has velvet tannins. The wine is very strong in its finesse and length. Its color is a dark and deep ruby. It respects in all ways the codes of Pinot Noir by remaining on the red fruit with fine tannins. It has all the seriousness of the Grands Crus that surround him.
