The Savigny-lès-Beaune is a village appellation at the north of Côtes de Beaune, the only one located on this vineyard, for the Jean-Marc Millot estate. It comes from a blend of three plots that are “Les Fourches” near Aloxe Corton, “Dessus les Vermots” and “Les Gollardes”, both in altitude and at the exit of the combe. This marriage brings a certain balance to the wines between strength and maturity with clay soils (Les Fourches) and freshness and flexibility thanks to altitude and sandy soils (Les Vermots and Les Gollardes).
The Savigny-lès-Beaune village is a wine of a very nice balance which combines fresh citrus fruits and more acidic black fruits blend. It is the balance between the femininity of the tannins and the freshness that gives this wine its entire breed and gives its impressive energy. Reflecting Pinot Noir, the dress is ruby red.
